In ages past Melchior, the great magus of the east, created several seeing stones to observe the grand world around him, and to communicate with the Shahs of the land and his magi apprentices. Over time, as empires rose and fell and Melchior’s successors grew decadent and corrupt, the seeing stones passed from the eastern realm and out of history’s grasp. Every now and then, some sorcerer or wizard claims to have found one of his orbs, but these too pass from history’s sight before it can be verified.
Melchior’s Orbs are spheres as black as the abyss as large as a human head. Legends say that each contains the skull of Melchior’s masters and greatest rivals, and that their innate magical talents power the seeing stones. When peering into an Orb, the user will see visions of whatever location he focuses on in his mind. To the weak-willed, they will see fleeting images only, but the strong of will observe their target as though they are in the far-flung locale.
However, the watcher too can be watched. Those who cannot hold their focus will see that their targets are aware that someone is intruding into their privacy, and if the watcher’s arcane talents are not up to scratch, his targets will in turn see a vision of him pondering the orb.

Blessing: On a successful Will Skill Check, the Orb displays a vision of any location of your choice, regardless of distance, however, you must know the exact location you wish to view. No sound is transmitted unless you spend a Sigil or take a Significant Mental Wound. Communication is only possible when observing another Orb.
Curse: If the result of the Will Skill Check to use the Orb was higher than your Intuition Skill Level, then anyone who you are observing knows that they are being watched. If the result of the Skill Check was higher than your Special Skill Check, then you are visible to those you observe.
